Questions, answered.
Is my writing private?
Yes. Your sheets live in your account and only you can see them. We never read your sheets, never train models on them, and never show them to anyone. There is no advertising on Scaffold Studio.
Who owns what I write?
You do — completely. We only host it so the app can work. If you delete your account, your sheets are deleted with it.
Do I need to know Markdown?
No. The editor is plain text with a little formatting help, and the built-in AI assistant can draft with you. Markdown is just the file format underneath — simple, portable, and readable anywhere.
What does the built-in AI do?
Two things: it helps you write your sheets in the editor, and it powers the chat with your robot — which answers only from what your sheets say. It never invents a personality you didn't write.
Is it really free?
Yes. Free is the default plan and includes everything. Paid tiers are planned for later; joining them will always be your choice.
Can I take my sheets with me?
Anytime. The dashboard's "Copy all" button copies every sheet to your clipboard as plain Markdown.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — from the Account page, in one step. Your profile, sheets, and sessions are permanently deleted.
What happens if I stop writing for a while?
Nothing bad. Your robot stays exactly as you left it, waiting for you to come back.

Scaffold Studio is a private workshop for building your personal AI agent.
Most AI assistants are the same for everyone. Scaffold Studio takes the opposite approach: your agent is defined by eight Markdown sheets you write yourself — its name, personality, memory, rules, and tools. Your words are the source code.
Why Markdown? Because it's yours. No proprietary format, no lock-in, readable in any editor twenty years from now. What you write here is plain text that stays useful anywhere.
Why a robot? Because an agent built from sheets deserves a shape. As you write, your robot takes form — each sheet powers a visible part. It's a progress you can see, not a settings page.
Private by default. Your sheets are yours alone. We host them, we never read them, and we never train on them. That's not a feature — it's the foundation.
Scaffold Studio is free during beta while we get the core experience right. Paid tiers will follow for people who want more.

What we collect
Account information: your email address and a salted hash of your password (we never store your actual password).
Your content: the Markdown sheets you write. They are stored so the app can show them back to you.
Technical data: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and error logs that contain no content from your sheets.
What we never do
We never read your sheets. We never train AI models on your sheets. We never sell your data or show advertising. We never share your information with third parties except the infrastructure providers required to run the service (hosting and database).
Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account from the Account page and your profile, sheets, and sessions are permanently deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll note the new date above. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated policy.

The service
Scaffold Studio provides a hosted workspace where you write Markdown sheets that define a personal AI agent, with an AI assistant built into the editor.
Your account
You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account.
Your content
You own everything you write. You give us only the limited permission needed to host and display it back to you as part of the service.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service for anything illegal, don't try to break it, and don't abuse the AI features (spam, automated scraping, or reselling access).
Free beta
The service is free during beta. Paid tiers may be introduced later; you'll always choose whether to join one.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service running, but it's provided as-is with no guarantees of uptime. To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect damages from using the service.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above will change. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
